Oil problem/ question
Ill start off with my problem, I got an 84 rx7 gsl se the other day, parked it, and the next day had an oil puddle under my oil cooler(right side if looking from front of car at hood).
So I am wondering, can I just drain my oil, and not fix the leak, and just run premix?
Also, what is the easiest way for me to block my OMP? I was reading through all the threads about it but couldnt find one that was really specific. Most are about second generations, and I am not sure if the 13b motors and OMP's are different between generations.

Just drain your oil and not fix the leak? Your engine still needs oil....I'm pretty sure you understand this, but I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you sure the omp is what's leaking? Probably worth finding the exact source of the leak and fixing that.
I'll let somebody with more knowledge of running premix jump in for that part...
Good luck and welcome...

I do have to ask, what do you think will happen if you drain the oil and don't replace it?
The leak is probably the front mount oil cooler. it has two hoses on the right hand side as your facing the car. DO NOT tighten the oil cooler connections thinking that they are loose or not tight. The leak is more then likely from a cracked bung on the oil cooler. First determine where on the car the leak is from. Then clean and inspect the area. The oil cooler is aluminum and if the bung has a crack, tightening it will make it worse. The only way to repair this is to replace it with a known good one or have it repaired at an experienced aluminum welding shop. I just had one fixed and it cost $25.
Your oil metering pump is on the left of the car as your facing it. If it is leaking, a new gasket usually goes the trip. Again, do not over tighten the bolts that hold the oil metering pump on.
