Searched "Fuel Level Ohm"
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=654956

From an 84 FSM:
110 +- 7 ohms empty
3 +- 2 ohms full

I have yet to find an aftermarket fuel sender that has the same ohm range as the OEM one. And trust me, I searched. Finally modded my tank to accept an Autometer sender. You can sacrifice you clock and mount an aftermarket gauge there.

If you look through my build thread you'll see what I did with my gauges. I ditched 4 of them in the dash, kept the speedo and tach.

I checked the thread, and the dash cluster looks stock.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
