My oil pressure gauge is giving me trouble. I've noticed that it stays near 0- 15 at idle and driving rpms . Sometimes when I turn the car on it will go back to normal at idle, but will fail a minute later. Sometimes it won't work from the very beginning. Oil level is fine and it drives normal. What could it be?

 

You should go to the store and buy a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Fit it ASAP and check to be sure the engine has all the pressure it needs.

Then assumming oil pressure is good might try a new oil pressure switch.
