Oil preassure sensor?

Hi!
Does anyone know if there is anything other than Mazda's own oil preassure sensor that will work on a 78-85 Rx7?
I've heard that the same sensor was used from 78-92?
Here in Sweden the stock Mazda part costs over $80 !!!

It's not that much cheaper but Mazdatrix carries an adaptor block (PN 11801 for '79 and PN 11802 for '80 to '92) that will allow you to use any aftermarket unit that has a 1/8" or 3/8" male pipe thread for a connection. Around $40 US.

I have found much cheaper sensors but I'm not sure that they work with the stock meter in the car.. I seem to get strange values..

Try visiting a junk yard... search around and see what you can find. I remember replacing mine and there were a few numbers on it, 8K was one I assume the resistance at 0 PSI or something. But I think there was a letter too, like a revision number, don't know if they make a big diff or not though.

I just bought one on ebay for $17. Of course that doesn't help you for ****, but maybe someday in the future, it will.

Right on.
