Oil Pan

So..............I was under my 85 GSL for other reasons and noticed my oil pan leaking. No problem, needed an oil change anyway. So I remove the 8000 bolts, the sender and temp probe....now I am stuck. How do I drop the oil pan without taking off sway bars? Forward I am hitting the cross member, aft I am hitting the sway bar...I feel like an idiot as I am hoping there is an easier way...if so, PLEASE SHARE...HELP!!

Never mind...I just read the other posts on the same subject...looks like I need to disconnect the idler arm and swing it towards the driver's side...

MIke

just unbolt the front mount and lift the front of the engine enough for the pan to clear.

lifting at the front of the engine. bottle jack and block of wood under front pulley. raise probably 2-3 in. not sure if unbolting the trans mount and raising that end up would work.

When unbolting the engine cross member, do so at the engine mounts at both ends and not the four bolts on the engine itself.
