oil metering pump linkage
so i installed my new rb header/custom exhaust. weber sidedraft carb and my short intake that just juts off of the side instead of wrapping up over the top. there isnt really a way to hook up the linkage for the OMP. i hooked up the 2 small oil lines where they are supposed to go. but ive also been premixing. what if i just wire the OMP linkage wide open and run it that way all the time instead of premixing? also my throttle cable is short and just barely reaches my carb. is there anyone that has found a longer cable off of another vehicle that works on a fb?

What you have there is a "Lake Cities" intake. Atkins makes them on occassion now. As to your omp, there is no issues with simply wiring the omp wide open. When you premix, you mix to the wide open ratio, so wiring it open is fine. In fact my 13b SE is wired open now. As to your throttle cable, you can either mod up a universal cable and cut it to length, or probably get away with switching to a gsl-se cable, as they are a little longer.

thanks man.... ill prolly just try buying a longer cable for a motorcycle or something. i just didnt know if there was a certain car ppl have found with a longer cable that works well.. the choke doesnt reach the carb either but it starts perfect with just 2 pumps of the gas pedal. as to the intake i love it. throttle responce is instant and its very torquey
