oil filler tiube replacment. i have a question about pcv replacement?

hi
i'm replacing my oil filler tube, the one i have has rust in it. what did you guys use for a pcv? i still have the purge valve that connects to the oil pipe, but i doubt that its working, because of the rust.
is ther some kind of pcv that i could use in its place?
thanks

You can replace the stock valve in the manifold with a new one. I'd probably try soaking it in carb cleaner and see if it still works.

hi Revhed
thanks for the reply.
i just went out and looked for the pcv, I don't doubt that is is where you said it is, but Man i can't find it.
On mine it goes from the oil filler tube to that purge valve, then it goes for there to the rats nest on top.
what am i over looking ?

The PCV valve should be on the intake manifold, right beneath the carb on the driver's side. Take it out and see if you can blow through it. It should only flow in one direction. -WG
