You put a few ounces of Auto tranny fluid in each rotor and let it sit for a few days, turning the engine by hand every so often. Making sure to get all the apex seals coated. It will get rid of some of the carbon buildup in there and increase compression. I've never done it so I couldn't tell ya how well it works, but everything i've read indicates that it does work quite well. Good luck with it.

do a search for ATF treatment. Basically you disconnect the coils and pour automatic transmission fluid down the bores of the carb while a freind is giving it 1/2 gas and cranking for 5 seconds each time. i did it till i ran outta auto trans fluid. Let sit for 24-48 hours and start her up ( it will be difficult) and viola, Mt. St. Helens!

If i were you though i would do a search as you will find a step by step procedure somewhere

There is no "Department" of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. It's the BUREAU of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, BATF.

"Hello, BATF? What kind of Bourbon goes with an AK- 47?" -WG

Whoops! Got so carried away being silly, I forgot to mention that Techron does a better job of cleaning out carbon deposits than ATF. Pretty much the same procedure as for using the ATF. You can leave it in for a week, and it will work great. -WG

Or..... you could slowly pour a liter of water down the carb while it's warmed up and running. It's supposed to work well for de-carbonizing rotaries. Just thought I'd throw that out there.......

I used Marvel Mystery Oil, and it worked great.

Yeah, you COULD crank with the starter when doing it, but you will get this oil fog pumping out the spark plug holes that will coat everything in your engine compartment and everywhere else it lands. That being said, cranking with the starter probably coats the inside better.

Oh-yeah, yo uwant to have a new set of spark plugs on hand for afterwards. Keep your old set for future ATF treatments.

Be prepared for a very IMPRESSIVE amount of smoke coming out of your tailpipe when you start it up. Maybe starting it at nighttime is a better idea, so your neighbors don't call the fire dept.
