Oil Filler Neck Removal?

A search found nothing usefull.

Could someone please tell me how to remove the oil filler neck on a 12A? Its nice and rusted and I want to pull it off and blast/repaint it..

I was assuming that it is pressed in.. Thanks for the confimation..

Anyone know of a way of getting it out with the engine in the car, without totally destroying it?

I whacked mine lightly with a rubber mallet in all directions while pulling firmly on it.

-btw, I got mine off really easy. It's a messy job, so have paper towels ready. It was filled with nasty **** and needed to be cleaned out.
I felt much better about it when I was done.
