oil coolers
Okay Ive sprung a leak on the front of my engine were the metal oil line go's back to my behive style oil cooler
Ive seen the replacement hose for sale I think on www.mazdaticks.com for like 80 bucks but I was thinking why not up grade.
Ive located a used oilcooler off an 88 convertible so her is my questions is the upgrade worth it ?
Is the behive oil cooler better?
or should I locate another style oil cooler off another
RX-7 ive heard the ones off th 79s are larger and cool better also th turboII and the Gsl-se
can someone unconfuse me on this subject
THANX

I'm with Venkman on this one. Find a cooler in the boneyard and ditch the oil pedistal cooler. Much better for your engine. The only trick is mounting the sucker since you have a taller radiator than the earlier SA/FB's. As for which cooler to get, if you can get a TII one, I believe those are better than the '79 or GSL-SE coolers.

ok, go here: http://www.cardomain.com/id/rotormotordriver
it's ROTORMOTORDRIVER's car domain site, but he explains pretty well what all is entailed in the conversion! it helped me with what parts to get, i am about to do the conversion myself. good luck and thanks to rotormotordriver for the write-up!!!
