Question Oil Cooler leak

The oil cooler on my GSL-SE has a crack and is leaking oil. I called Mazda but they want a lot of money for a new one. Should I repair the one I have or should I buy a universal one. If buying a universal one, which one do you guys recommend?

Thank you,

Luism12lm

Usually You Can Find Them At Your Local Wrecking Yards. Also Upgrading The Lines To Racing Beats Braided Stainless Steal Isnt A Bad Idea Either.

if its cracked take it to your local heliarc shop, $20-$30 to fix, and it gets hot tanked. make sure you take out the thermostat first, and flush it well yourself after.

Your mounts are probably shot as well, the rubber does not last and mazda only sell them with a cooler. So you may need to fab some new mounts. Mazda trix is a bit cheeper than Mazda, that's where I got mine.

Cheers
