oil cooler leak

In my 85 GSL-SE, I have what looks like oil leaking from the top of the hoses connecting to the oil cooler. The cooler is also hanging on just one of the two mounting brackets (the one is broken so i cant hang the cooler on it)
Anybody know how I can fix this problem? If I can't fix does anyone know where i can get another?

I tried, they told me it can be done (fix that is), no one around my neck o the woods will do it. I posted and searched the classifieds, found one, was delivered yesterday. Good luck. Radiator shop, welding outfit, need to be able to do aluminum though. My next avenue was going to be get a 81 and just bend the brackets out the other way and rig it up.

Possible Fix

This might work!

Durafix

I haven't tried it but if I couldn't get anyone to weld it up, I think I'd give it a try.

Just follow the directions perfectly and make real sure you clean all them metal real good--don't want any oil on it.

Let me know if it works for you.

Scott

Thanks Scott,
but im looking for a way to start fixing it today.
I got my 85 GSL-SE for $200 from this guy at my dads work. This is the most recent problem that we've tried to work on after getting to engine to start working again.
I still need help. Please!

You can try all the rad shops and welding places in your town. Other than that you cant change physics, I tried then failed, 5 days later mine came by way of UPS. Regress a bit, it may not even be cracked. There are some brass (now Mazdatrix sells aluminum ones) crush gaskets in between the fitting and the cooler, it may be bad! I limped my 81 by using thread tape until my new gaskets came. We replied with the fix or change so fast because these coolers are know to crack and leak. Dont over tighten, finger tight, start car, tighten till leaks stop, dont over tighten though. Good luck, youll prbably only get a bandaid fix today, but I wish the best to you.
