I have an odd size coolant sending unit port on an old behive 12a. Measures out as a M6 X 1.0. The other old 12 behive block I have has a larger port M8?

Anyone sean this? Source of sending unit??

 

On the later engines there's a coolant temp and oil pressure sending unit. On the early ones, only the coolant, which is the smaller one. Problem is, by the time the beehive was introduced, all engines had both ports.

How about posting a pic?

 

if the housing was made later than maybe 2000 (give or take), it will have the 89+ water temp sensor threads in it.
