OBX Diffy.
they are a somewhat good knock off of quaife differentials.
if you re assemble them, torquing them they way they SHOULD come from factory they work really well, at least on Honda aplications
Not sure why you ask, they dont make one for the first gen

All NA RX7 diffs are the same 79-91.... Actually, I think pretty much all 7" mazda diffs are compatible ie: use the same spline count, ring gear pattern, etc. these are found in the RX2, 3, Miata, early RWD 626, etc.
I too have been looking at the OBX as the Miata Torsens are hard to find. There are a couple guys who have been running an 8" OBX in their FD V8 swapped cars for a few years without a problem. That's a pretty good record. Here is a stock FD torsen after the V8 treatment...

There is also a vid of the guy with the OBX a few pages in thrashing the car...
Has anyone out there actually tried an OBX diff and had it fail? All I see when I search is hearsay and rumors...
