O2 placement for Custom Exhaust!

Well my GSL-SE is soon getting Uncollected header, duel pipes to the axel, all 2.5 exhaust.

My question is 0xygen sensor placement. If I put it in either pipe of the header it would only be reading one rotor. Most all O2's I've seen are in the collector, which in my case will be in front of the rear axel. Will the reading change in that distance?

I am Eventually going carb but that is later on. I will want a A/F for tuning anyway.

Thanks

If you're going to try to tune the engine with a typical O2 sensor, don't bother... unless you're going to lay out the cash for a wideband, if I remember correctly, rotaries like to run in the low 12:1's high 11:1's... your standard oxy sensor quits working in the 13:1's... all it'll tell you is that you're way rich, as most piston engines prefer to run at stoich or a little richer...

Not really worried about the 02 later down the road, for I am going carb.

Just need to know if the added distance from manifold(current location) to before the axel collector will change the way the stock EFI runs?

Thanks

The sensor needs to be a certain temp to work right. They make preheated sensors for quicker warm up times, but I dont know if they would help you here. Basically, I wouldnt do it...
