does anybody know the nut thread/pitch size for an 85 gsl power lead on the alternator. i seem to have lost the nut and i'm needing a new one, OR if sombody would send me one in an envelope it would make my life a heck of a lot easier!!

its small i can tell you that.. is the alternator the same as one on a 79.. if so i could help you out..

 

yeah i am pretty sure they're all the same lil old rinky dink alternators. if you could help me out i'd sure appriciate that.

22mm or 7/8

 

for the power lead not the front pulley. one off of just about any alternator will work.just go to a parts store ask them to pull off the self to check the size and then see if they have a nut that size in stock.

 

Power lead is 8mm or 5/8" (I think) unless someone replaced the nut with an incorrect one.
