number of LS's produced

i am doing a little fact finding... i was curious if anyone knows anywhere around a number of 1980 LS's produced. i am aware that there were 3 colors solar gold, aurora white, and brilliant black and all were fitted with solar gold rims. i was just curious if anyone knew a number produced...

I believe thats total number produced, but my source claims that 3000 were produced. Also, is there any difference between the '80 LS and '80 Lmited Edition? Supposedly there were 3000 1980 Limited Edition models produced, all with every option, and all in black.
