Not Giving up on the Rotary BUT time for a new toy!

Yep! I just placed my deposit for a the new Mazdaspeed Miata...

A new miata, with a turbo... 178hp, no weight, and a convertable! Whoo hoo! New toy! New toy!

and no, I'm keeping the 7.. (you can't have it!) but the Protege is gonna go....

Waiting until March is gonna kill me!

damn.. jealous right here. the new miata's are gorgeous.. they should take the new miata's looks, change a few minor things, drop in the renesis, and outcome = the '05 or '06 RX-7.. nothing would touch it for power/weight and handling as a sports car, and VERT none the less

Congratulations! I used to own a '96 Maita, they are great cars, though we are speaking different generations. You will be very happy.

maybe because miatas are just about the most reliable car you can get.

We had one and I dont think a single thing went wrong with it in the 5 years that we owned it.
had to replace brakes and such.

good choice.

know of any pics that we can see online?

thanks guys!

Why didn't I get an FD? one, they're 10 years old... two, the maintence on them is MUCH higher, as are aftermarket parts, and three... It's not a convertable

I drove a 94 thru most of my high school years during the week (it was dad's on the weekend) and loved it.. The reason I got my 1st FB was that it was cheaper than a miata which I really wanted.. Of course, then I fell in love

waiting until March is gonna KILL me....

Nice! but I've ben hooked on the rotor since I got my first one 5 years ago. It took me a few years to get another one. There is nothing like the pur or a rotor. I built a 450hp+ big block before I got my first one and I think I even like the rotor better than that.

there will be pics...

A titanium Mazdaspeed next to a Tornado Silver -SE. I can see it now!

Not going to be a drag strip demon, but man could this be a fun car.. Wonder how much power a straight 3" exhaust would gimme?

Anyone in the market for a P5 with a couple things doen to it?
