what part of NorCal are you located?

 

most shops don't even attempt 12As anymore due to the scarcity of the rotor housings. only actual shop i know of in the area still would be SR motorsports in brentwood, few other rotary specific shops but they will probably tell you they can't do much for it.

there is a few tricks to get around the rotor housing issue however.

 

theres a place in the south bay, rotorsport that rebuilds 12A's. for a quick fix it's easier to get a good shape used engine and put it in, that's all i'd do.

you can also hit up pr motorsport in hayward. theres also mr. mazda in campbell pretty close to rotorsport.

as far as finding good condition or NLA NIB NOS (whew lots of acronyms) 12A rotor housings, you gotta either know the right people or be extremely lucky

good luck with your rebuild! my advice is: get it done right the first time to save headaches down the road. treat your 12A nice!
