Glad the mod worked; hopefuly you don't take too big a hit in fuel economy for it.

When all is working right, the vacuum secondaries work quite well; that you were having flat spots may mean that the diaphragm for your vac sec actuator, or the gasket for it, might have been leaking & not pulling in when it should. Going mech secs is a good workaround, but it does hit you in the fuel budget based on what others have said.

Either way, a happy driver means a well-running car.

Yeah, if it were my car id want the vac secondaries. Sounds like you have some issue with your vac diaphragm.
