Unhappy No power to TPS green test socket

1984 GSL-SE 100,000 miles

Just got my car back from the shop (clutch replacement, injector flush). The car always had a low idle but now it surges at 1000 - 2000 rpm. Tried to adjust the TPS using the green socket by the air cleaner - via the "light bulb" method. Bulbs would not light indicating no power regardless of how many turns of the TPS adjustment screw. I tested the bulbs from the battery and they were fine. I searched this board for a similar problem but found nothing.

Is there a fuse or something else involved which I should look at? Cannot understand why the TPS green test socket would not have power.

Also, found a vacuum leak around the air adjust screw top of the TB. Would teflon tape on the threads be advisable to seal the leak?

Is your key on in your ignition, you have to turn the key on iwthout rolling the engine over then adjust your tps, but the engine must be warmed up. As for leaking aroun dthe air adjust screw i dunno.
