Unhappy No more 1st gen ownership for me..

Sorry guys, but as of last Wednesday I no longer own a first generation Rx-7 anymore...
Sad to say I parted (still have parts aval) it out and the shell has made it's voyage to be junked.
But I'll still be surfin here and checkin' regularly as I'm still in the Rotary community as the "Rotary Gods have smiled on me" and blessed me with......

Rx-8 has more of a chance for longevity without the intensive care required of a 3rd gen.

I've never met an Rx that I didn't like, any model or generation. But I must say, I've never driven one that I like more than my 1st gen. It's got the right combination of weight and quality that Mazda hasn't gotten right since.

I dont really think the RX-8 has been out long enough to really know the longevity/intensive care of the car. All of them are still under factory warranty. Maybe a few have been driven out of the milage range of warranty. But I have learned for the most part that buying a car the first year they come out tends to bite you in the ***. Aftermarket usually catches on on the 2nd year after the minor problems/major disasters of the 1st year have been found out.

But Hey Really nice ride. But a 3rd gen with a single turbo kills alot of that intensive care issues..

Have fun with it.

It's the turbo that kills the 3rd gen.

So what happened to the 1st gen that you had to dismantle it?
