No leading voltage
I have a feeling I am going to feel a little tiny when I find the answer to my problem, but at his point it well be worth it. First off, it is an 84 GSL-SE that has what I believe to be an ignition problem. It idles way too low (around 150rpms) and borderlines on stalling. When I run a timing light on the leading wire, I don't get anything but the trailing is fine. I can pull the leading wire of the dist. cap with little change to the performance. So far I replaced the rotor, dist. cap, plug wires, plugs, tried a different ignitor and bac valve with no luck. I just know it has something to do with the leading signal but what could it be?

Actually, I swapped coils off of my 84 GSL just to see if there would be any change and nothing. I then checked the impedence on the subject coil against another coil and both were close in that regards. But I am glad to see we are on the same page.
