no dizzy?

i was thinking about installing a second gen crank angle sensor into my 13b. anyone know what it would take to do so, or if it is even possible? also, what advantages would i see from this swap?

thanks

I personally do not think it would be a worthwhile swap, as there would be very little improvement.... you would have to use the second gen coils.

You would also have to do a shitload of rewireing, for somthing that probably gives no performance increase at all.

i donot think that the second gen coils would be necessary, as i will be using three msd blaster II coils and two msd 6a boxes..
more accurate timing sould be achievable with the cas, but i am not sure what else.

at this point it is only a thought, but still want to know what is involved.

benefits would not even come close to the pain it would be. your accuracy isn't going to improved that much. the idea with the cas is detail enough that the ecu can judge spark according to its maps. so unless you're going that hardcore, for minimal gain, i wouldn't worry about it.

It's not just a matter of running wires to the CAS, you have to have the ECU to make it work because it's designed on a completely different principal than our dizzys.
