i was ALMOST there!

I had just finished puttin a crap load of new parts in my rex (all new brakes and master cylinder), put it back on the ground, started it up, and ALLLL was great. checked my brakes before i started to move, and it went all the way to the ground. i gravity bleed the brakes, so that wasn't it. I figured there must be a air leak somewhere. WELL, i foundthat the bottom brake line on the master cylinder (to front left brake) was loose (and also SEVERLY stripped and torn apart, which is half my fault and half previous owner). I tightened it with vise grips, and still a leak, i think it is totally screwed up, SO Where do i get a new one of those??

i had a similar problem with the brake pedal to the floor, and after replacing the master cylinder 3 times and gravity bleeding it still did it. in my case it wasnt the lines, it was the power brake assist booster.

about the lines.... you should be able to get those from any junk yard i would think

I found a master cylinder and lines at my local Lordco Auto parts store... $38 canadian for the master cylinder and $45 I think it was for the 4 steel tubing lines. I was thinking; "Wow, they must've quoted me on the wrong part... the auto wreckers wanted $40 for a USED master cylinder....

Meh... jobber parts...
works for me
