so a while ago my transmission randomly stopped shifting out or 1st or 2nd so I took it out, took it apart and found out that a little ball bearing was jammed in there somewhere so I made sure I had all gears, put it together and put it in. now that its in and all put back together I dont have 5th or Reverse.

I dont have any idea why it would work perfectly fine until its in but i was hoping someone could shed some light on my situation thanks.

 

make sure nothing is blocking anything in the shifter.

 

well my return spring in broken and my friend that was helping me put it back in and i didn't know it but i dont think its the spring cause i got it out of the way and no difference other then that it was very clean when i took it apart i dont know what could be binding up

 

oh its an 83 gsl btw
