So popping a motor, obviously I don't want to, but I'm prepared if it does happen.
My starlet is not my daily either ( more my drag/weekend car).

I will use a msd box when I install NOS on the 12a and I guess my engine is strong enough to handle atleast 50hp-75hp ( has like 2,000 km since i changed all the springs and corner seals, apex seals were in very good cond so I reused em)

Then again I am not going to install NOS very soon either, more like at the end of the year or early next year

End of the year is already here... hah.

I have a MSD 6A (not hooked up yet) but I think I'm going to sell it and get a 6AL. I've been told you don't want to spray and miss a shift on the 6A. Eventually I'm going to hook up a throttle switch so the nitrous kicks in everytime I WOT, that's when I'll need the rev limiter.

80's... The stock Cold start container can hold methanol right..?

How big do you think that thing is..??

It's alot smaller then a gallon of milk.

How much do you think you'd need for a 1/4 mile blast....???

If I were to put the fuel line after the solenoid,
jetted for whatver shot I'm using into a container
and hold the button for 30 seconds
I DOUBT it would spit out the whole cold start container...
That's something I'm going to have to check out.

What pump would you use for that thing...???? I'd think small in size so it can be tucked away neatly but powerful enough to do the job. Am I way off track here...????? You got me thinking.

All the after thoughts would depend on the answer to the first question though....

Edit: After about another minute of thought, that thing would prob never fly / be allowed at the track.

I was thinking about something larger that just the sub start container. I use to have a car that I ran regular pump gas to the carb and had a 2nd fuel tank and fuel pump for the nitrous.

I used a 1 gallon fuel cell that you can get from Jegs or Summit. I also used a Holley blue fuel pump and regulator. My tank was mounted in the rear, but i have seen them installed under the hood. This provides plenty of fuel when needed.

Anyhow a holley fuel pump or a Mallory 110 fuel pump would be perfect.

I see that you added the 50 shot.... how is it doing??? You really should be starting to feel a difference at 50....

It ran good. I'm only spraying it WOT in 3rd and fourth gear. It takes it no problem.

I go thorugh 1st and 2nd tooo quick to watch my shifts, rpms, press a button, watch the road... etc.
Plus the solenoid is kinda far from the fogger... it takes a second to even kick in.
I'm going to be fixing that next.

Thats cool.... if you find out the nitrous works well and want to keep it, you could add a throttle activated switch and a MSD "window" RPM activated switch... then you only have spray when you floor it.....nitrous will not come on until say 3000 RPM and it will shutoff automatically at say 7000 RPM so you don't over-rev..
