Dry shot no, wet shot you could most likely get away with a 50 shot depending on how much boost you will already be pushing into the motor.
THe only real problem you will run into is that the exhaust ports wont be able to handle everything comming out .

With a big port job you could get away with more, what I would do is setup your turbo to run less boost when using the nitrious.

Im no turbo or nos expert but I would say you could get away with 5-8 psi boost and 50 shot off a wet system.

But what you have to weigh out is if the extra 50 hp is worth how much hp the extra psi of boost you would normally be getting worth it?

another good thing about wet systems is that you dont have to play with your air intake or fuel systems at all, you just run a seperate fuel line for the system and thats it, no running rich to compensate for when you might spray like a dry system.

Personally I think nitrious (wet system only) is a much more reliable and econmical way of adding horse power over both a turbo and a supercharger.

I say reliable as in how long your motor will last, in fact I even read an article from NOS that adding a 25-35 shot off a west system when used properly will not harm or shorten the life of your engine at all, and (get this) a 25 shot is actually beneficial in some ways to the internal components of an engine.

I am only rambling on cause I know alot of people will shoot down nos because of all the horror stories, but 9/10 of those are dry systems, and the other 1/10 are usally just dumb asses that didnt read the instructions on when to/when not to spray, how to prep your engine, and what grade of fuel to run.

theres my 2 pennies

BTW here is the kit I copyied.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=NOS%2D05030

Here is another one which is basically the same thing
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...S%2D05030%2DFI

I built mine for around $350

The kit starts out at 75 shot which is what I sprayed, I think it goes up to something like 250 shot

I only sprayed 75 because I had a dying motor, if the motor was in better condition I would have felt very confident with 100 shot, with a street port I would have felt very confident in pulling off a 125 shot and maybe even 150, but thats a big maybe.

i've been talkin about nos to a few reliable people. they've told me that unless you got clearanced housings it is not advisable to go over 100. 75 is recomended. just to let you know.

seems like to me that putting a 35-50 shot on a holley carbed motor would be extremely easy, as all the fitting to go between the carb and intake are readily available. I also think a streetported motor could handle the 50 shot in stride, as long as it was a wet shot as previously mentioned. Maybe I will try this for my streetported 12a with 465 holley, as an extra 35 hp in my 1500 lb car would make it a giant killer. I wonder if barnetts wil even sell me jets small enough for a 35 shot. hehe.

It's called a gerrotor-it's what 99 and newer Jeep Grand Cherokees use in their axles to allow all the torque to be transmitted to one wheel (as opposed to one axle).

Wow, this thread is way off topic. I'll bring it back to nitrous. I purchased a TOP SHOT NOS nitrous kit for 300 dollars new with everything included. This setup injects nitrous and gas directly into my holley 465 by a nozzle system above the carb. I will be running a 10 lb bottle behind the passenger seat so I can turn it on while driving if needed. The smallest shot I can use with this system is a 75 shot, so I will put in those jets, bring the timing back 3 degrees, replace the unleaded with premium, and go ahead and try it. From extensive searching on this forum, there are plenty of people who have used this amount on their 12as. Nobody provided any jetting reccommendations though. Are there any out there? I will pm judge ito, maybe he can help.
