Hi- I'm looking to possibly change the secondrys into mecahnicals on my 12A chevette. I'm sick of the jump from primarys to secondrys. I think it makes it tricky to drove smoothly.

Any good links to good sites out there so I can check out how its done?

There's a good thread in the 1st gen archive (linked at the top of the 1st gen forum) on modifying the Nikkis. Though if you're getting a big jump from the primaries to the secondaries, something's probably not right with your carb - it should be smoother than with mechanical secondaries.

Is the engine ported? Maybe the primary jets are too small. Mine seem to be.
