thanks buddy!....finnally some pics of my car. just got her on the road a couple weeks ago.

obviously a few things to be done (paint air dam, get whale tail, get enkei mesh for the front, and install header, and im either going to use a momo fixed back racing seat for driver which i already have, or i may be trading for a pair of black leather TII seats from a forum member, haven't decided yet)...oh, and the front coilovers are not installed yet, but the rears are. the rears are the eibach/ground control springs with the 5 deadwound coils, with no coils cut..i will probably cut 2 off once i level the front with the coilovers

good old openshot was nice enough to let me borrow his tan seats, and a few other parts to get my car on the road and pass safety check. oh, and lucky me, the car is 20 yrs old, and now exempt from emissions testing here in Ontario...so of course i've removed all emissions, except for the cats which will be coming off in the next week or so when i install my RB header

so...what do you guys think?

Car is getting there Nick. The top of the dash looks especially good!

Goes without saying the air dam is my favourite part lol. Offer stands, if you want to buy that other one you like, I'll buy your original. Although that almost looks like fibreglass and should be urethane if its the original one...

What did you do to the dash? It doesn't look painted as the finish is flat. Looks really nice and clean.

absolutely nothing actually. its just a stock grey dash. one thing i didn't do is grease it up with armour all. i have used that stuff on all my cars, and i just can't stand how addicting it gets. if you don't keep using it, it makes the panels look worse, but if you do keep using it, way too much film builds up.

for now im using windex, but i'd like to know a good cleaner i could use for my dash and door panels, etc. that won't shine, but will look clean.

rears are 15x7 +7 offset with 195/50/15, i plan on moving them to the front, and then running the same wheels on the rear with 205/50/15 (for now)

I did some reading on protectants, and supposedly the problem with Armour all is that it is petroleum based. They say really you should use a protectant only, and it shouldn't be petroleum based. I just started last night trying a new product I got at Crappy Tire. Its made by Dupont and is called Teflon Protectant and is UV resistant. I'm putting it over an old coating of armourall (which probably isn't the best idea), and so far it seems to have some of the slipperyness of armourall but more of a matte finish (unless you put gallons to it). Its in a tall black spray bottle that looks like windex. I bought it last fall, but I seem to remember it was a little expensive. I think it was like 8.99 or a little more.

actually both of you have wanted my air dam for the longest time. hehe...aws140 does have a whale tail though that i want bad.....but i could never give up the air dam unless something else comes around. i was considering the kaminari, but its not worth it.

i wonder how hard it would be to mold a 3rd gen stock front bumper to a first gen

I just want it because its an original part, and I want my car restored with only completely original parts. Otherwise I'd just get a knock off from VB.

I kind of thought you were going to go for the Kaminari - what makes it not worth it?

the one crappy part about my air dam/side skirt choices, is that the side skirts flare out at each end, which i love the look of, as it covers the tire, and im sure in a wind tunnel it does quite a bit of good for wind flow

but my air dam does not flare out

I wonder if you could tweak out the lower forward part of your front fender so it came out as far as the skirt. Since the airdam is urethane, it should flex enough. I've had that part of my car apart before, and there a metal brake cooling duct that holds the lower leading side of the fender in place. If you made a simple bar, and removed that duct, I'm pretty darn sure you could push the lower part of that fender out, and hold it there by bolting in the bar. Only other real option I can think of is to add fender flares.
