Looks to be in decent shape (the dirty engine bay and crusty-looking rad notwithstanding). I knew the '83 Limited Edition came with 14" rims of that (or similar) design and had the "limited edition" badges on the B-pillars. But somehow I thought the LE also came with the same option package as the GSL, ie: power windows, rear wiper, rear discs and LSD.

The other thing is the odometer reading. It could be that this car is as described by the seller, ie: it really was owned by a priest and was given to him by a lady church member whose original-owner husband had died, and the mileage indicated is accurate. Then again, it could also be that this story is bullshit and the odometer has been spun. After all, the seller is a mechanic, and not all mechanics can be trusted to tell the truth.

And when was the last time you met a priest who would default on payment for repairs? I thought their specialty was buggery of alter boys. Not to tar all priests with the same brush or anything. Still, I think I'm going straight to hell for this musing.

Man, you are the sceptic aren't you...lol

I wasn't even aware that there was an LE in 83 prior to this.

How can you tell this hasn't got the LSD, disc brakes?

Man, I want that Speedo to put on my 81. Wish I can find one and wish it was easy to put it on my car.

The Limited edition was based on a GS not a GSL.They had regular crank windows, cruise control, fancy stereo w/EQ,sunroof,velour like maroon cloth seats,14" mesh BBS style wheels, and Chateau Silver paint.

Thanks for the info. Oddly enough, my silver '85 GSL has those same "limited edition" badges on the B-pillars. At first I thought that they were legitimate and that they applied to the '85 models with power steering (mine originally had this option and came up from the states, where power steering was available as an option on these cars). But then I later discovered that these badges had been placed there by a previous owner--- or a sleazoid dealer looking to get more for the car than it was worth.

He is right... his story does sound kinda fishy.

Yeah, I'm a cynical bastard. But said cynicism is justified after seeing some of the sleaze in the auto industry and other examples of organized crime.

Yup, the LE was only available in '83 as far as I know. From the photos it's impossible to tell which rear brakes are on this car but if it's based on the GS rather than the GSL as Mazdax605 stated it would have rear drums rather than discs.
