NGK problem

i just bought some ngk plugs from racing beat, they were 9 bucks each, sorry im not at home and not quite sure which i got, they are not non turbo ones though, alot of the descriptions say for street ported and such and such and other non turbo, but these did not say non turbo, I wanted them because im having a streetported turbo 12a. i go to screw them in and just by finger tightening them the head is already instide the lip on the housing so i cant get a sparkplug socket on them to tighten them. whats up with that.

how many prongs are on them? 3 or 4? if you got one with three, it's for an Rx-4 or a Cosmo... you need something else. Had that same EXACT problem.

RB also sells a "thin wall socket" for installing plugs... Some plugs will do just what you've described. I guess you prolly need to buy the socket they sell or fab your own (by grinding down on the sides of a socket that doesn't fit).

So you bought iridium race plugs, huh? NGK race plugs are just like that. You either have to turn down a normal plug wrench on a lathe, or buy one like fullsmoke suggested.

My Audi A4 calls for iridium plugs. The dealer wanted close to $20 each (glad it's not an 8 cylinder) I ended up buying 'em for $11 at www.sparkplugs.com BTW, they sell the NGK BR8EQ-14 for $6.11

Anyway, I guess my point is to check out www.sparkplugs.com
