Next step for Horse power

What should I be thinking of next to get more Horse power?
Also where do you think I am sitting now HP wise?

85 GSL-SE stock motor
Complete Streetport Exhaust
RB front and rear sway bars
Tokico Blues (4)
Eibach springs (4)
MSD 6A
Electric fan
Dual alt pully
15" pana sports (4)

Stock clutch, wires, dist., etc.....
Only other up grades are inside the car.
Is it possible to get 250hp out of a non turbo/super charged 13b?
thanks for the help

Help needed to keep Honda's off me.

switching over to a carb (although I wouldn't do it to my car) would get you more power. Street-porting the engine would also see a nice gain considering you already have the exhaust.

Probaly gonna be hard to reach 250hp N/A without a brige or p-port

A bridgeport or some nitrous will hit 250. Get a good intake manifold/carb combo, the fi system in the se isn't good at all.

Why? What can a carb do that a fuel injection setup can't?

Obvisouly rebuilding with a street port or larger would be a good step... Especially if you wanna reach 250 N/A hp. Use some S5 rotors, which are lighter and higher compression (the GSL-SE is 13B right?).

Do something with your inlet. Port the existing throttle setup, or install an aftermarket IDA injection setup or something.

Install an electric water pump, to remove the stock pump from the crank.

Switch to an aftermarket ECU and tune it really well, although this isn't exactly cheap.

Remove useless crap from the car to save weight!!

Aftermarket FI will work if you know how to tune it. BTW, do you want to sell your Panasports???

a hole S5 engine, street ported and with a haltech or microtech ecu. carb is good but gas mileage will drop quick, i think with aftermarker ecu will make power while maintaining some fuel economy (of course rotary arent your fuel mileage engine),

So far some good feedback. Things I have thought of also.

I would rather keep the FI. I will be sending the injectors off to RC soon to be rebuilt. Wanting to remove the air box and go with a cold intake but have not fould the one I want. What about under drive pullies? Any gain there?

So with the current setup should I be in the 170-180hp range.
Is there anyone on this site with a N/A GSL-SE running over 200hp?

the afm is one hell of a restriction, that is why people see such good gains when switching to a carburetor. Or you could get an aftermarket ems with a map sensor, then you don't have that bottleneck restriction.

I am hoping for about 200 hp when im finished.
My setup in the works is
*= bought or done
Rebuild & Streetport
S5 Rotors*
Full Dual RB Exhaust*
S4 upper intake
No Ac, Efan, 5&6th air pump activated
k&n drop in with a modified air box & mariah cold air induction headlight cover*
Tweakit superlight flywheel
RB Clutch & Pressure Plate

MICROTECH or Haltech sometime in 2005

Then maybe I am hoping for 200+ hp
