New Year, New....?
I want to wish everyone here a happy new year and say that in looking forward to seeing updates to all of restorations, projects, and builds here on the forum. I wish you all the best!!
On a personal note, on my side, I've been battling end stage kidney failure for some time now. The huge news is that someone has decided to donate a kidney, giving the gift of life. The surgery is scheduled for February 18th. This will give me a second chance at life and will allow me to see my children continue to grow and give me the opportunity to meet my grandchildren. I don't know who the donor is, but I am eternally greatful. I intend to find out so that I may thank them properly.
The summer plan post transplant and healing is also to construct a 64x40 workshop on my property. This will allow me to have all of my cars in o e lkcation and stored indoors year round. It will be a huge game changer for my restorations. Getting a kidney will also allow me to contunue my restoration work. As of now it's very difficult. This gives me something more to look forward to this summer.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and know that I am greatful to be here and greatful that you guys are here as well. Looking forward to all of the awesome things the new year brings!

Thank you all for the kind and encouraging words! I'm nervous about the things to come following the surgery but it's a great way to start the new year. I am very greatful for the support I've received here and I want to thank you all for that!
Thats great news Dave. Hopefully, the new year brings a better future. We all take good health for granted. Without it, not much else matters. Make sure to build your shop bigger than you think it needs to be, and high enough to accommodate a lift!

Thank you everyone!! I can't thank you all enough for the support here! You all are amazing!! I made it through the surgery ok on the 18th. In some pain now, but that will pass in time. I've had an incredible team and they have been taking care of me. I'm hoping to be home by this evening. They leave the catheter in until Monday and I can assure everyone that it has been the worst part thus far. The new kidney is working very well and I already feel better inside. Again, thank you guys so very much for all of you support and well wishes. I can't express how much that means to me and to my family.

Thank you guys for all the support and well wishes. I'm home and doing well. Will be home from work for at least 90 days recovering. Doctors orders on that. The new kidney is working well and the numbers are looking pretty good! I'll be back on the forum more now that I am able to. The last week had been really rough.
