Best option is to swap out for FB housings and struts, then you can order most any strut insert you want. You will need to buy 2 brakeline adapters since the SAs have coarse threads and all other later ones are fine threads. Another benefit is you get away from the wedge style brakes. Post a WTB in the 1st gen section and make sure you get the complete strut assembly, including calipers, rotors and bearings. Shouldn't run you more than 175-250 shipped for the used parts. I may have the needed parts. I know I have a complete driver's side, may need to pie4ce together the passenger side.
I've done this swap/upgrade on Kgray's SA and he was quite pleased with the results. For the first time he could lock up the front wheels since he owned his 7.
Racing Beat and Mazdatrix carry the adapters. Order new FB flexible brake lines too, preferably the SS ones.
A final option is contact ReSpeed and see what he can do for you.

If SA struts tubes are the same length as Rx2, RE-SPEED makes a spacer that fits at the bottom of the tube so you are able to use any 1st gen insert. Hit Billy up and see what he says.
