New starter won't work

Hay guys I jus got a new starter for my car and it only works sometimes other times it will crank just too slow to start it I checked all the connections I could I checked the battery it's putting out 12 volts like it should any advice would help alot thx

Earth? Do you mean ground? I checked it the neg from the battery (in the back long story) runs from the battery to a ground on the underside of the body to the ground on the engine ware the long starter bolt runs through the engine and tranny to thread in the starter

Battery should be putting out slightly more than 12 volts. Otherwise the voltage drop to the
starter will cause it to be too weak to crank. Recharge the batter and make sure all the battery
post connections have been recently cleaned along with the ground connections.

Recharge the battery, and if nothing changes take it to a local parts store and have them test it. A battery can show 12v or more and still drop to a useless level under load.

Ill take the battery and test it I think that's what it has to be I've made sure all the connections and grounds are good
