New to RX7s.. need advice

I am now an owner of an 87 that needs a motor and an 85. The 85 is my first priority. It ideas very high and then floods. I have been told to remove the "rats nest" and I have a thing from mazdaspeed on how to do that. After than what are some good mods to get somemore power from the car??

exhaust is the best thing... then maybe a new carb and intake... then drive it that way until youre bored.. then rebuild the engine and port it.

If it idles high, you might have a vacuum leak. Spray some carb cleaner around the intake and hoses. The idle should change when you find a leak.

I finished eliminating the "rats nest" and replace almost all the vacuum lines. It still will not stay running under about 3200 RPM. Anymore things I could try? Thanks
