hey
a choke is a switch that closes part of the carb off so teh air/fuel mix is higher, to make cold starts easier
most cars have automatic chokes but many imports , like the early RX7's have manual chokes.

Hrm, so on a RX7, do you have to pop the hood and pull something, and it will return on it's own once it warms up?
Sorry, I have never seen a manual choke before.
Just curious, but my 86 626, it probably had one? Maybe that's why it didn't start so well in the cold.

new plugs?
Take out one of the sparkplugs and make sure it is four prong. The previous owner of my car did not know what he had.. and put regular spark plugs in it.. surprised it ran. Ran rough.. I changed the plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor and it runs really smooth and has way more power than when I bought it..

Hey guys you know where I can get an exhaust pipe and muffler with pipe assy cuz it costing me $273.67 and I want to keep the car and fix it original except for the tint windows and 17" wheel...
