New Red Leather

Wife Cathy got me some new seats for Christmas, from ebay, for $160. They are a near perferct pair in red leather, to go with my red leather steering wheel and maroon velour interior.

Here's some pics of the White One, my daily commutemobile. This car is a real pleasure.

Thanks guys. Concerning the green shifter ****, those with red interiors are well aware that the red leather, red plastic and red vinyl parts all fade at different rates and go through different hues of orange, brown, yellow and green, creating a kaleidoscope of colors in these older cars. One of the nicer features of the red interior, in my opinion; the brown ones just go from brown to lighter brown, not nearly as interesting.

I drove the car into Atlanta today, the first time since replacing the transmission and redoing the front bearings. It's a very nice ride, I finally have a 7 that drives better than our Protege5!

Arock, didn't I get that steering wheel from you? I was trying to remember who gave it to me.

Thanks Gavin, White can be a nice color if you do it right. And the red interior is a 1st gen classic, made all the more rare and valuable by all the people who tear it out because it has faded a little. Folks, send me your red interior parts!
