Those are some rare wheels. The size, IIRC, is 13x5.5" which is the perfect size for an SA22 frame and weight. With only 105 hp available, the smaller/lighter wheel/tire combination makes up for a lot of acceleration.
Hang onto that car - it's worth a lot of money to a serious collector.
On a sidenote, I just moved my 80LS (SA22) to a new owner's house today to free up some much-needed garage space. Here's a picture of it in it's heyday:
I'll always have fond memories of that car - was much more 'rugged' and less refined than my current 84SE...

Leave it stock as you can; or at least as reversible-back-to-stock as you can. Personally, I'd leave the "rats nest" as stock, and the stock ignition. You know that things like wheels and tires and exhausts are certainly quite reversible; but emission systems can be tricky. Why remove it if it runs great with it? Leave it unmolested and if you really have the wish to mod it, get one that's already been there.
That is just such a classic as it is!

I just bought a '79 SA & its all original except for the radio- I am also having a hard time deciding if I want to mod it- I think suspension/wheels & maybe racing beat exhaust is as far as I am going to go-
