kool just to for warn your going to get flamed but so will i once i put one on too......looks good but im hoping to extend the axle piping an inch longer towards the ground so when the muffler is then angled outwards up alittle instead of straight or pointing at the ground like most i see on the first gens.

No flame here, as I have a similar muffler.
I bet yours is a little quieter though, since you have a cat.

i like the big canister mufflers with the big downturned tip that all the down-under folks use. looks tasty.

but um yeah how loud is that? i remember my GSL being pants-crappingly loud when i had a header -> straight pipe -> stock muffler.

I'm not feeling the N1 on that car but if you like it thats awesome. If nothing else great deal for sure. My guess is that is pretty loud but if you throw a silencer in there it shouldn't be bad at all.

ya the muffler isn't my tastes either. I went with the racing beat system, I know its out of some's price range but it performs awesome, keeps noise at street legal volumes and maintains a sexy look all at the same time...

For those who say Ricey...rice my ***.
Its an Apexi, that is not ricey. If it was cheapo deapot glass pack then it is a different story.
And i like the look of it, I will be getting an HKS Hiper prolly when I go TII

looks like it doesn't belong on the car. It's too big or something.

If my magnaflow ever blows out (which it probably will being fiberglass) I will probably be replacing it with a cansiter type muffler too. I got one on my protege, and it sounds incredibly good. OBX seems to make really good sounding mufflers that are styled like that, its deep and mellow, even my rice hater friends gave it credit.

people have different tastes but my soon to be racing crew loves how it looks they said just put bigger rims and tires and lower the front when i get my air dam. it makes me feel special when ur friends have a viper,s200o, celica all-trac ,mr2 turbo ,240sx(sr20), 05 gto and they're on my $700 rx7 nuts

im a huge anit-rice guy but.....im getting a n1 style can on my 7 though...BUT the biggest tip im getting is a 3 to 3.5 if you look on ebay they are all 4 and 5 inch and that is really ricer i think a nice 2.5" pipe off my header to some kind of magna muffler then under the axle to a n1 can with a 3" tip would settle nicly without being rice because in the future i want to turbo my car and i will only need to fab a downpipe later

idk personally i don't think that a big single tip looks good on the FB. a nice simple dual tip would look awesome

i had a apexi n1 on my 7 b4 n that **** was loud as hell. after 3 days it didnt muffle at all. it was as if i had no muffler. i have a 13b with racingbeat roadrace headers n center section so i guess it couldnt handle the heat... it blew out all the fiber...

i sold it on the net saying that i only used it for 3 days. hehe....

Did you have to modify the extention pipe alot? What size inlet did you use?

Looks good. Looks pretty much exactly like the muffler I have. I just need to get one more cause I'm going to modify a few things to allow me to have duals out the back. One on each side.
