After a 2 year accident break, my car has just returned to the road. Before it used to have the ugly brown interior. I mainly used grey dye on the dash and other vinyl surfaces and black on some of the plastics. It says it also can be used for low-profile carpets and trim but it came out with a crusty finish and so i am replacing the trim on the doors and rear panels with new cloth. Black covers the best by the way. 2 months in the Australian sun and it still looks good. Cheaper than replacements thats for sure.

I did both. There is a thread of mine that is floating around here of my dash replacement. Let me see if I can find it.

Here is the link of my dash replace.

The carpet set I bought new from Victoria British, and the other parts I either dyed or found in the junk yard.

Go to your local automotive store and pick up some Vinyl & Fabric Color. It sprays on with ease and dries very fast. Make sure you do about 4-5 Coats, otherwise it will tend to crack and tear off. I just did my whole interior. The dash was the hardest since you have to pull the whole thing. But, i am very please with the new look. My interior was brown and maroon, but now black. The paint is somewhat expensive, 5.69 a can, but its well worth it rather than replacing every part! Good Luck... Rotary-Rex

I used eastwood co's dye. They have dye for vinyl and for hard plastic - as well as a prep spray. I highly recommend.
