Yeah bro...
take a hint from others here...the round look just doesn't flow well with the stock design of the body...
Keep it 80's and lose the vents...The one piece front bumper is a nice idea and design...
Dude you have to make the hard to find stuff or the stuff that is over priced...Like Fiber glass stock fenders, stock doors, and Fiber Glass Hood, Fiber Glass flat peices of door panels, Fiber glass head light covers...
If not the one piece bumper like you have up there, then stock fiber glass bumper, and header panel...You would do so much better making these parts...and if your prices are GOOD!!!
That stuff right there will sell like hot cakes for sure if it is done in a tasty fashion or in the stock design...
I like the design and fact of the Fiber Glass Dash,,,thats sweet right there...

give me a PM or email when you get a chance i have some original glass taht I want repop'd and I am sure that some community members would love the additions. I have an orginal 78 Rx7 with an IMSA mark one kit on it now and need the front fenders and the lower airdam redone. Mariah makes the rear fender flares for it. I would also be interested in having you make some other stuff that is even older than Rx7 and i have the pieces

Hey guys! I just got a new shop. So Im making a new line of fiberglass parts just for the FB RX-7.
I'm just now finishing up the casts for: A original FB air dam, A fiberglass dash and center consel. Many more to come!
Check out the unfinished pics and tell me what you think.

My .02 cents is to first question the side vents - they make the styling just go too overboard and radical. Our cars and styling are just a bit more subdued and to have the front of the car all riced out but to then have a tradition back half would make the car very unbalanced asthetically. If you produced a full body kit.....thats another story. But for what its worth - I'm just not big on vents in general to begin with.
You might possibly add another option/product that includes just the traditional FB front airdam (leaving the stock header pannel). In essence the front bumper cover down. I feel you could capture more market share with a tradition product that has an "apples to apples" comparison. Your look is new, and I'm sure it will sell.
While I have you - Ever thought of a fiberglass FB hood with the TII scoop? As un-functional as it is, it still is the best looking addon to the car. But thats just my opinion. I'd love to have one. This debate has gone round and round....but I still want one pre-fabbed.
Good luck on your endeavours - more options for the FB are always appreciated. Thank you for helping keep our options alive!

The fiberglass dash is still in the works.. I made one that had all the stock mounting points(for the heater ducting wiring ect..)
The second is more of just a shell(the one in the picture). The one pictured dash weights 3.3 pounds. The finnished product will be lighter.
which kind would you be interrested in?

Thats actually a REALLY good idea...
I wouldnt mind a space for the stock cluster, but mold a few gauge mounts into the dash over the glovebox area or something angled toward the driver so we have some gauge mounting options. Or even a simple pod area over the HVAC vents (which I would like to keep). Basically, I would like to see a dash that is all stock, but just adds gauge mounting solutions.
Kind of an extreme way to go, but I for one would be interested in this rather than drilling into my stock parts to mount things or making funky brackets to mount things without drilling into stock parts using factory mount holes.

EDIT: Something like this horrible paint drawing for a pod on the dash

i dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but most aftermarket dams out there for fb's go under the existing bumper(which i have experienced is one strong unit) so that they help with performance, look nice, and retain factory strength and saftey.....what would happen if you crashed with this thing? are the bumper supports even used?

I will probably get flamed for this but, I like the look not really my preference and a bit to ricey for my taste and like some other folks have said more 80's less F'n'F but, more over the dash looks great i would get some thing like that more than a front kit personally but, good work on both none the less.

I think mariah still sells the casette tape front end with one of the wide body kits.
Most of you have seen my car allready, but here is a picture of my front end, fairly simple.

Ok.. I just placed a order for fiberglass supplys. I am now working on a new cast for the fiberglass hood with stock metal mounting points so it will be 100% bolt on.
It will be a fiberglass version of the stock hood untill I get ahold of a turbo II hood to make a scooped version.
I am guessing the hoods will be ready in about a month. after that I will start perfecting the dash with the stock mounting points.
What do you guys think of "frog eyed" gauge holes??

Here are a few pictures of the carbon hood I was talking about with the bracing underneath. I cant remember who was making these on here, or where they went. I know they have come up a couple times but I dont know if theyre still available from anyone or what.

EDIT: Are these parts hand laid, vacuum bagged or what?

Will we have to paint the dash or will that be included in the estimate? Also, what do you think a CF dash would cost to produce if possible?

The dashes are going to have a white gel coat finish. That way you can paint them to match your car. I can paint them on request,
Carbonfiber requires a vacuum bagging system. Which I am not equiped for at the time. So there are no carbon fiber yet.
