New engine again?

so 2 winters ago i bought a Reman 13b with stage 2 streetport from atkins. Well every winter i put my car up, so ive put between 6 and 8 thousand miles on it in 2 years. Well the rear end was makign a noise so we listed the car up, changed its fluid and lowered it down(about 3 days it sat) go to start it up and nothin, wont turn over. Mess with started, still nothin. Take plugs out and try to turn it over by hand and it wont turn. I babied the car for the first thousand or so miles, its been taken up to 7k from time to time, nothing over thou. Why the hell is my engine siezed, and where should i go from here? MMO trick? Call Atkins?

This might seem like a stupid question, but whats your oil like? Was is changed regularly? Kinda sounds like the engine was either not stored properly (fogging oil should always be used), or the engine was run dry of oil.

Don't MMO it.

Reman engines with less than 8k on it shouldn't need it.

If you want to, you can put a tbsp or two of regular motor oil down each of the primaries, change the engine's oil and hope for the best.

You should probably call atkins if that doesn't work.

What condition is your OMP in? Were you premixing? Were you supposed to? (IE: OMP was removed and blocked off).

Stupid question, but is it in gear when you try to turn the motor over by hand?

Something is up, I really doubt the engine blew.... could it be the starter gear is stuck against the flywheel, (it moves back and forth during start up)

Even If it was seized from 3 days... (which is impossible, even without any oil) you would be able to break it free with a rachet and a bar.....

Keep us posted...

This comment right here says that there might be a LOT of carbon in your engine. Did you happen to drive the car at all? Probably not, and just letting the car sit there idling till it warms up then shutting it off once a week is hard on the engine. Doing this for the duration of the winter is even worse. So, if the car has been through a total of about 8 months of winter, at 4 startups per month, thats 32 startups that had no driving on them. Its possible the engines just lightly carbon locked.

A little advice, store the engine properly in future winters. Use fogging oil thats specifically made for storing an engine for a long period of time and you won't have any problems.

I think this is another reason to use a good pre-mix. I just got a case of the Idemitsu stuff, which quickly disappeared into the storage of my 4 rotaries.

last half of nov, dec, jan, feb, march, out in early april. When i started it once warmed we usually revved the engine up a good bit to burn off some carbon, not every time but once every few times we took it up there a good bit. Still no driving in winter thou, nowhere to drive it.
