New to Club

I'm new to this club but I thought it was cool b/c I'm curently in the process of getting my 83 Mazda RX-7 home, I bought it for $250 from my uncle and am currently having the clutch put in it. The interior is a total mess but I think it'll be pretty easy sailing on that the engine compartment needs "cleaned" and the body needs minor things done to it like paint and new taillight housings b/c they are cracked. But other than that I'm a proud owner of an 83 Rx-7 5-speed stick, it's a sweet car and I love it.

The paint I think I'm gonna go with a basic flat black with a light metal flake clear coat, I have to completly redo the interior b/c most of it deteriorated and the passenger door does not have a panel, the drive shaft is seating behind the drivers seat, and well the stereo and it's components are in the driverside floor. So I'm doing a little work right now to get it fixed but, I'm in a sortage on the money side b/c someone busted the windshield on my 94 Mercury

I really like the red paint on your RX-7, those rims are awesome, right now I have the stock rims on mine but I joined the Army National Guard and will soon have the money to get my car the way I want it. funny story is I don't like imports but when I saw the rx-7 I knew I had to have it. I'm more of a chevy made in america kind of person but RX-7's are the best.

Thanks. I actually found the car sitting in an impound lot. $500 and I drove it home. That pic really doesn't show the wheels very good. Here's a better view:

that's so cool I'm buying mine for 250, but it needs work, I'm thinking about rims like that b/c I'm wanting a blacked out steathy look for mine. I want it not only to go fast but to look fast when it's stopped.

If you want some black rims, at a decent price, check out diamond racing wheels. They offer a black powdercoated steel rim, 15x7, with the 4x110 bolt pattern (rare, only used on carbed Mazdas) for under $100 each. In case you don't already know, rims for these are VERY scarce these days, due to the 4x110mm bolt pattern.

yeah I've notice that the rims are hard to find I was checking the rims out at the "Big O" across town but they didn't have anything. So I figured the rims I'd wait on until I get the rest of the car done. I have to sell my subs and get smaller ones b/c I don't think to 12" Sony xploids would look good in a car with so limited space. But thanks for the advice on the rims that helps a ton.

Have to agree with that. As much as I love my '84, my '83 is my true love.

well I never liked import cars very much, I've always loved chevy trucks, but when I saw my uncle 83 RX-7 I knew I had to have or at least drive it, but he sold it to me for 250 and I'm still paying on it. but yeah other than that I have a lot of work left to do on it
