new car ?'s

I'm thinkin about buyin a 83 RX-7. I already own a 88 T2. But I need a beater car, and this one is in really bad condition. I was just curious if there is anything in paticular I should know about the first generation rex's before I buy one. thanks

look under the trim on the rear wheel wells and under the storage boxes behind the seats for signs of rust, the 1st gens that haven't been rust proofed might have SERIOUS rust problems in these areas.

don't be suprised if you have more fun driving the '83 than the '88 (sorry couldn't resist:p )

(of course just noticed u in FL so might not have the same rust problems we have here )

Cool

Hey, Guy

What's "bad condition" mean? Send us some details and we can respond in kind...

As rxtasy said, don't be surprised when come to love the overall "sportiness" of the 1st gen, over the "boulevard cruiser." That's not to mention ease of "working on." I predict (from a little reading of the cowchips) that it won't be long before you're askin' us about the top dog...GSL-SE....

be weary of the back end swinging out on you, especially in wet conditions..

mine is out of commition right now because of that...
