ok, just transfered the title on my new baby. It's an 84 GSL, and it has several engine problem *no big surprise*
So, now I'm in the market for a stronger, faster engine. I'm thinking something from a third gen...but I'm open to sugestions.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About A Turbo 13B Swap, Click Here
There's how much work you're looking at...
and there's numerous people on here that have done that.
The 3rd Gen RX-7 engine is a 13B-REW, a turbocharged engine. It's NOT a straight bolt-in, and requires a LOT of fabrication (welder, etc). Most people go for the Cosmo 13BT swap, as it's a little easier, and a little less electrical crap to work with.
I repeat, in NO way is this going to be bolt-on! It will cost lots of money to do, and will take a lot of hard work. If you don't want to do that, I'd suggest just rebuild your engine, street port it, slap a carb and exhaust on it, and lighten the car up by removing the A/C, airpump, emissions crap, and interior parts.
Turbo = $$$$$
rebuild, carb, etc = $$$$
Turbo = work x 100
rebuild, carb, etc = work x 50
Turbo = power x 100
rebuild, carb, etc = power x 50
it's all up to you, and depends on what you're looking for...
