I'm looking to put on of those Moroso Air Cleaners on my '81, I know there's a bunch of hoses that go to the existing breather that are vacumms and what not, i was just wondering if that type of air cleaner is compatible with the nikki carb and if so what do i have 2 do to get it to fit properly?

 

Sounds like maybe you should do the rats nest removal covered in the FAQ. It's on a mazdaspeed website. Check out the tutorial.... I'm not familiar with the air cleaner your speaking of so I'm not 100% sure. After checking out that tutorial, you may have a better idea.

Well, in defense of Florida's Faq fetish I would have to say that he is just being thorough in his delivery of information. For instance..

If he had just said "do the rat's nest removal", then your next questions might have been something like "how the hell do I do that? and what's a rat anyway?"...


Anyway, all nit picking aside, I would have to agree that a rat's removal would greatly simplify your situation since it eliminates everything that connects to the aircleaner housing.
