Need Suspension help as soon as possible.

Hi there all. It's been snowing quite a bit up here in Oregon, and unfortunately, this leads to my question. While driving to my house, I was turning left, and my wheels locked up, and I ended up slamming diagonally, with the wheel full lock to the left, into a curb at about 10 MPH. The damage wasn't too bad. My question is, what is your guess, as to what's been damaged. The front passenger wheel has a lot of positive camber, and is pushed back toward the door, enough to make the tires rub. It's been too snowy, to get a good look at it, so I need some opinions. Sorry for the long post, I wanted to make it as detailed as possible so you guys could gather a good image. Thanks
-Mike

ahh this has happened to me before but with a different car.

like what woodonastick said control arms.

also check steering system like inner and outter tie rod ends and misc parts. might also want to inspect brake disc and caliper in case those got damaged. did the rim get damaged at all and hold air? check struts too just in case. hope this helps.

pretty much for me a new rack and pinion, struts, rim and brake disc had to be ordered plus labor... was not so fun for my car or wallet.

Rim was fine, and the tires still hold air. I just found out I managed to crack my oil pan also... I do need to check every thing still, it's just snowy and cold as fack up here. lol.

Sorry to hear about your incident! That blows big time. Well I agree with boyee too!! Judging by the sound of things, your tie rods are bent, control arms are gone, sounds like the brake caliper can be salvageable unless its structurally unsound. And the rest of what boyee said. Hope everything isnt so bad.

I'm pretty sure the caliper is fine, the brakes worked fine the rest of the way home. But I should prolly double check to be safe

Inner and outer tie rod ends
Ball joints
Control arm
Bent tension rod? Maybe.
Make sure the strut housing is still straight...

Most of these parts can be found at www.rockauto.com fairly cheap. The only exception may be the control arm itself, which you might be able to get from a forum member or a junk yard if money is an issue. And of course, after install, you'll need a front end alignement.

Good luck...

Thanks for the help everyone, it's starting to clear up over here, so maybe in a day or two, I can check everything out, in the process of replacing the oil pan.
