Need a quick answer!!

Who's the best maker of stock replacement coils out of these manufacturers?

Borg-Warner
ACDelco
Beck/Arnley
Accel

My local O'Rielly Auto Parts has Accel in stock. Everything else I'd have to special order or try to find somewhere else.

I can get MSD Blaster 2 coils also. I'm not going high performance ever though.

Go with the Accell Super stock.
Slighty better than stock, fit in the stock locations and cheaper than OE replacement...

I agree. The Borg-Warners are okay, as are the Beck/Arnley...

I've tried Bosch and they seem ok. As for price, just get whatever.

I think I'll get MSD Blaster2's from a nearby shop.

coils

Beck arnleys are stock replacements. that's because beck arnley does not make anything themselves. they buy it out.
As far as a good upgrade the Jacobs are very good. They stay at a certain voltage thruout the rpm range unlike accels or others. Stock coils are more than adequate
for all rotaries up until redline and alittle more. The jacobs will give you alittle better combustion for a cleaner fire.
You can always see if someone will sell you a s4/s5 leading coil and do the update.
Sometimes you can pick them up cheap. Leave the trailing side stock, just a thought. rx7doctor

Thumbs up Air intake

Air intake

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi i just had one question im not sure if u will be able to help me. Someone told me that i could put a pod filter on my 12 A 1985 series 3 rx7. He told me that i would have to get custom piping made then atatch the pod filter. Im not sure what the pros andcons are or even if this can be done on my car. If this can be done is this a good option or should i be considering another option for air flow upgrades. I am just looking for a easy way to get better air flow to the engine with an increase in power. What would u sugest?
